In 2025, we partnered with our friends at Saarloos and Sons to create two true estate wines for Roundbarn Ranch. Our relationship with SSCO is rooted in connection, authenticity and our shared appreciation for the remarkable land of the Santa Ynez Valley. Much the way Roundbarn Ranch was founded with our values as pillars, Saarloos creates its wines based on their own set of five essential pillars. We admire those pillars which include things like farming their vineyards themselves, harvesting by hand,making wine as a family. and their commitment to relationships.
We are thrilled to present our ranch red, Connection Cabernet, locally grown and harvested then bottled and labeled by SSCO for RBR.This Cabernet grows in the winemaker’s warmer Los Olivos estate vineyards, shaped by long sun-filled days and cooled by coastal evenings. The extended season builds energy that is focused. Black cherry and cassis flavors lead, followed by red currant and subtle dried herbs. As the wine opens, layers of cedar, cocoa, and soft tobacco leaf emerge, adding depth without slowing momentum. The tannins are firm yet finely grained, providing grip while staying composed. Acidity lifts the wine through a long, clean finish.

Stafford’s Chocolates has been a cherished local staple in the heart of Santa Ynez Valley for years, partnering with local growers of fruits, nuts, and dairies to create exceptional confections. These California chocolatiers handcraft every small batch using only the highest quality chocolate, with each piece carefully hand-dipped to perfection.
In collaboration with Stafford’s Chocolates, we’ve created our very own signature bark, combining flavors and textures that showcase our shared passion for authentic flavors and thoughtful preparation.
A guest favorite, we combine each member of our team’s favorite trail mix ingredient to create the ultimate RBR collaboration, a delicious recipe we lovingly call “Happy Trails Mix.”
Inspired by the prickly pear growing on the Ranch, this chocolate bark was thoughtfully handmade just for RBR and you, but watch out, as our team had the Stafford Chocolatiers add a kick of jalapeño to spice things up a bit!
